Dear Reader,
As an accomplish woman in the business world, I applaud you. I'm sure you missed many growing-up normal girl events. And above average self-discipline in your peer group and beyond. Talking to you as a friend, not the volunteer, I pray your not resentful toward your parents. Sure, your were trained young to make the best of yourself. (By now, you'd wish I'd shut-up and continue packing) Just want you to know, I have a better understand of you, as a person. Very few persons you have open-up to on your feelings. I understand, when work needs to be done; short and persise directions. As you move onto other list items. I remember you telling me of early excutive "burn-out," before 60 and I'm glad I retired early with two pensions below upper managment responsibilities. I'm glad you don't have to act your age, and do things you want to do, from the discernings eyes of other's. We all want you to have fun. After awhile, the fort will start running more smoothly and take more off your mind. Go fishing, hunting, close your office door from the voice of the world... When I was military professional I always had the opinion of myself; " I can go anywhere in the world to do my job and give a good accountability of myself." I want you to keep that in mind for yourself. I had a job failure just yesterday at FedEx. I hold "the power button," package flow from unload to reload packages. I open the access sliding belt gate. Forgot to electric push-peddle it all the way close. I stopped shipping for 10 minutes before my sort manager spotted the problem. Told her right up front I screwed up! She smiled and said don't worry about it Charlene. I was visibly pissed at myself in job failure... I've always try to be honest with myself when I make mistakes. I still hold myself to high standards. I've never been out of any kind of job, since age 14 and I guess it's time for me to breathe. Remind me of that, would ya!!!
